The At-Neemra Dance Company specializes in ethnic dance styles from around the world, such as Middle Eastern, East Indian, Latin, African and more! The Company was founded in early 2004 by renowned dancer and experienced choreographer Laura Armenta. The At-Neemrah Dancers bring to their audience a realm of sensual feminine expression, with great passion for fine details and class.
All members of The At-Neemrah Dancers! are professionally trained in fine dance techniques like Ballet, Jazz, Modern dance, as well as Pilates and free weight training. Each dancer is also serious about the practice of HATHA yoga and meditation to enhance the spiritual connection with their art. As a group they are constantly reaching for more education with International teachers and studying other cultures' language and art forms.
Laura Armenta, artistic director and choreographer, blends techniques from various “Belly Dancing” styles like Egyptian Cabaret, Turkish, North African and, more recently, American-Tribal Style.
Ms. Armenta has been a professional performing artist for over 20 years. Her education in Fine Arts has allowed her to make the unification of sophisticated Ballet and Modern dance and authentic ethnic flows her latest artistic endeavor. The final result is an enticing, electrifying and passionate piece of art.
