Tulipanes Receives Community Foundation Grant
Tulipanes Latino Art and Film Festival is honored to announce the recent grant award in the amount of $5,000 from The Community Foundation of the Holland/Zeeland Area.
Tulipanes Latino Art and Film Festival is an annual celebration showcasing and celebrating Latino arts, history and culture through a variety of local and international venues including music, film, poetry, live performance, visual arts, workshops, entertainment and more.
“We are very grateful to The Community Foundation for their support as we strive to create an environment of fun for the entire community,” says president of the Tulipanes board of Directors, Tony Castillo. “Now in our seventh year we continue to go to the next level and are excited about how our 2007 event is shaping up.”
Tulipanes is a successful nationally respected event that serves as a venue for Latino filmmakers and artists and highlights the works of Latino literary, creative and performing artists at the grassroots level. Since it’s inception, the event has educated and entertained many thousands of youth, families and people of all ages and cultural backgrounds regarding the diversity and success of the Latino experience.
Tulipanes 2007 will take place in downtown Holland, August 30-September2.
