Wings are not necessary to fly
Pascal Kleiman was born without arms, but this fact did not stop his career as a disc jockey in techno music. This is an example that confirms that will-power in human beings is stronger than any obstacle, whatever it is, and his example demonstrates that….”wings are not necessary to fly”.
After his succesful film “ Hombres Tranquilos “ ( “Quiet men” ), filmmaker Ángel Loza tell us the life of Pascal Kleiman, a person who was born without arms and who is able to fill up the dance floors of the most important discotheques in numerous countries.
The film has been shot in intervals of time along three years. The project started with José Albertos and Ángel Loza as producers and later Jorge Sánchez Gallo joined them with his prestigious documentary production company New Atlantis.
The production of “Héroes” took place in Paris, Toulouse, Barcelona, Valencia and Madrid among others places.
We must mention its splendid sound track, specially the works made by Iggy Pop, Annie Leibovitz, disc jockey Rob, Cycle and Spam.
Among the characters in the film we must emphasize the presence of Laurent Garnier, musical producer and disc jockey whose statement about Pascal is relevant and important.
“Héroes is a film about a normal person who was born without arms and who is besides a disc jockey”. ( A.L.)
“ I believe that all of us are disabled, all of us have at least a handicap; psychological, physical, emotional, economical…”. ( A.L.)
