The highlight of this year's festival is the presence of Miguel Michel, a well-known Mexican sculptor, who will travel to Holland to show his work and talk about the technical process used in the making of sculptures. His work is found in national museums and several states within Mexico. "The presence of Miguel Michel in this year's Tulipanes Festival offers a unique opportunity for the Holland area to personally engage one of Mexico's leading sculptors," said Tony Castillo, president for the Tulipanes Board. "In the course of the Festival Miguel will honor us with his presence and with his art."
